INVESTIGATION OF SARIKEÇİLİ YORUK WEAVINGS'S DESIGN FICTION IN TERMS OF COLOR CONTRASTS

Abstract

Isparta is a rich region in terms of Yoruk life and weaving culture, because of its climate, vegetation, plateaus and having on the migration routes. Although the settlement activities in the Ottoman Empire and Turkish Republic periods were aimed to bring the Yoruks to a fully settled life, many of them continued their semi-nomadic life style. They have made their settlement preferences within the framework of the settlements they have previously determined. It is one of the nomadic settlements that settled around Isparta, one of the pre-migration routes of Sarıkeçili. Isparta and its environs, which are located on the migration route in the historical process, are important in terms of being a dwelling place by the Sarıkeçili Yoruks. In this study, weaving of Sarıkeçili Yoruks living in Isparta is analyzed inplastic context without entering into sub-meaning or symbolic reading. The method of analysis was carried out on the basis of color contrasts in the plane of the basic design principles and sovereignty (emphasis) relationships within the composition constructs. So, it is not intended to put the specific languages of the weavings into certain patterns or to question whether they are works of art or not? What is the effect of color selection of weaves on design fiction? Is there an aesthetic quest, a common style concern? Or a random choice? is to seek answers to such questions. Additionally, it was questioned whether there was a construction in accordance with the design principles in 20 weavings of Sarıkeçili Yoruks.

Özet

Isparta ve çevresi iklimi, bitki örtüsü, yaylaları ve göç yolları güzergâhında olmasından dolayı Yörükyaşamı ve buna bağlı olarak dokuma kültürü açısından zengin bir yöredir. Osmanlı ve Cumhuriyetdönemindeki iskân faaliyetleriyle Yörükler‘in tam bir yerleşik hayata geçirilmesi amaçlansa da, birçoğuyarı konar-göçer yaşam şeklini sürdürmüştür. Yerleşim tercihlerini daha önceden belirlemiş olduklarıyerleşim yerleri çerçevesinde gerçekleştirmişlerdir. Sarıkeçili’ler öncesi göç yollarından biri olan Isparta veçevresine yerleşen Yörüklerdendir. Tarihsel süreçteki göç güzergâhı üzerinde bulunan Isparta ve çevresi,Sarıkeçili Yörükleri tarafından mesken tutulan bir yer olması açısından önem taşımaktadır. ÇalışmadaIsparta’da yaşayan Sarıkeçili Yörüklerine ait dokumaların alt anlamı ya da simgesel okumasına girmeksizinplastik bağlamda çözümlemesi yapılmıştır. Çözümleme yöntemi temel tasarım ilkeleri düzleminde yeralan renk kontrastlıkları ve kompozisyon kurguları içerisindeki egemenlik (vurgu) ilişkileri üzerindengerçekleştirilmiştir. Şüphesiz dokumaların kendine özgü dillerini belirli kalıplara sokmak ya da sanat eseriolup olmadıklarını sorgulamak amaçlanmamıştır. Amacımız; dokumaların renk seçimlerinin tasarımkurgusuna etkisi nedir? Estetik bir arayış, ortak bir biçem kaygısı söz konusu mu? Yoksa gelişigüzel birseçim mi? gibi sorulara cevap aramaktır. Ayrıca Sarıkeçili Yörüklerine ait 20 dokumada tasarım ilkelerineuygun bir yapılaşma olup olmadığı sorgulanmıştır.
