Abstract
The Bronze statuettes which form a small group in Zeki Karaoğlu’s collection mostly contain archaeological artifacts found in the Aegean Region. The bronze statuettes examined in this study are mainly consisting of gods and goddess statuettes thought to have been worshipped in the Roman domestic cult. Five of the examined statuettes are dated to Roman period and just an example belongs to Archaic period. It is known that these statuettes placed and respected in the lararium, a special place in Roman houses. Today, it is possible to encounter many bronze statuettes in excavations in Roman cities, especially in residential areas. These statuettes are extremely important finds in terms of understanding the relations between civil life and domestic cults in the Roman Period.
