Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the effects of rations containing 5, 10, 15 and 20 % poppy seed meal on live weight gain, feed consumption, feed efficiency and carcass yield of quails. A total of 250 daily Japanese quail chicks ( Coturnix coturnix japonica ) were used in this experiment. They were divided into one control group and four treatment groups each containing 50 quail chicks. The experimental period lasted five weeks. Bu araştırma, rasyonlara katılan % 5, 10, 15 ve 20 düzeylerindeki haşhaş küspesinin japon bıldırcınlarında canlı ağırlık artışı, yem tüketimi, yemden yararlanma ve karkas randımanı üzerine etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada toplam 250 adet günlük japon bıldırcın civcivi (Coturnix coturnix japonica) kullanılmıştır. Her birinde 50 civciv bulunan bir kontrol ve dört deneme grubu düzenlenmiştir. Araştırma beş hafta sürdürülmüştür. Araştırma sonunda rasyonlarında % 5 ve 10 düzeylerinde haşhaş küspesi bulunan grupların canlı ağırlıkları diğer gruplara göre istatistiki açıdan düşük (P
