Abstract

Twenty dogs with heavy proteinuria and suspected to have renal dysfunction were used for the study group and fifteen clinically normal dogs were used for the control group. All dogs in two groups were males and 2-5 years old age. Venous blood samples collected at the same time and single urine specimens obtained by catheterization were used for the analysis. In the control group, mean values of serum concentrations were; urea 24,79±2,31 mg/dl, creatinine 0,72±0,05 mg/dl, protein 7,01 ±0,22 g/dl, albumin 3,43±0,13 g/dl, calcium 9,20±0,22 mg/dl, phosphorus 2,60±0,46 mg/dl, sodium 150,93±1,78 mmol/L, potassium 5,19±0,15 mmol/L, parathyroid hormone (PTH) 24,23±3,65 pg/ml. As compared with the control group, serum concentrations of urea and creatinine were found to be significantly higher in the study group (P

Kontrol grubundaki köpeklerin serumunda ortalama üre 24,79±2,31 mg/dl, kreatinin 0,72±0,05 mg/dl, protein 7,01 ±0,22 g/dl, albumin 3,43±0,13 g/dl, kalsiyum 9,20±0,22 mg/dl, fosfor 2,60±0,46 mg/dl, sodyum 150,93$pm$1,78 mmol/L, potasyum 5,19$pm$0,15 mmol/L, paratiroid hormon (PTH) 24,23$pm$3,65 pg/ml olarak bulunmuştur. Kontrol grubu ile kıyaslandığında, deneme grubundaki köpeklerin serumunda ortalama üre (P
