A case of the pediatric spontaneous spiral epidural haematoma

Abstract
The spontaneous spinal epidural haematomas (SSEH) are rarely occuring clinical conditions. If the treatment is delayed, it could cause severe and permanent neurological disability. Early surgical treatment with urgency in diagnosis is the most important prognostic factor for good neurological outcome. We present the case of a seventeen months old child with SSEH in the light of the relevante literature.
Özet
Spontan spinal epidural hematomlar (SSEH) nadir görülen bir klinik durumdur. Tedavide gecikildiğinde, ciddi ve kalıcı nörolojik defisitlere neden olabilir. Hızlı teşhis ile erken cerrahi dekompresyon uygulaması iyi nörolojik sonuç için en önemli prognostik faktördür. Bu yazıda SSEH tanısı konan 17 aylık bir çocuk hasta literatür bilgileri ışığında sunulmuştur.
