Rethinking of the Concept of Environmental Ethics

Abstract

The main objective of this article is to discuss main theories of the ethical perpectives and to point ont that the problem of environment is a problem of making fundemental pfeferences of the ejusting approaches. To this end, it is considered how this concept of ethics differs from morality, regionality and jııstice. The problems of the 21 st century are related ecology, commıınity and lifestyle. So in our day, society comes face to face with important changes for political, economic, technologic and social elements. There is the necessity for the lifestyle to adapt themselves to the change in an already dynamic process. Because of the historical roots of our Ecological Crisis, behavioral change must be taken into the new context of the Environmental Thought.

Bu makalenin temel amacı, etik perspektif taşıyan ana kuramları tartışmak ve bu tartışmalardan yola çıkarak, çevre sorunlarının temel tercihler yapma sorunu olduğunu işaret etmektir. Bu amaçla, etik kavramının ahlak, din ve adalet kavramlarından farklılığı ele alınmaktadır. 21.yy'ın sorunları çevre, toplum ve yaşam tarzı ile ilintilidir. Bu nedenle, günümüzde, toplum, politik, ekonomik ve sosyal bir değişimle yüzyüze gelmiştir. Sürekli değişen dinamik bir ortamda, yaşam tarzının değişime uyum sağlaması bir gerekliliktir. Ekolojik krizimizin tarihsel kökleri göz önüne alındığında, davranışsal bir değişimin yanında, çevre algılayışımızın mutlaka yeni bir bağlamda ele alınması gerekmektedir.
