Application of fibrin glue combined with allogenic bone or hydroxylapatite particles in alveolar ridge augmentation

Abstract
Prevention of particle migration during delivery, placement and postoperative period and maintaining the desired shape and height of the alveolar ridge is a serious problem in using allogenic bone graft or hydroxyl apatite particles for the augmentation of atrophic alveolar ridges. In this study fibrin glue was used in posterior atrophic alveolar ridge augmentations of 5 patients with the purpose of preventing particle migration. It was observed in the clinical and radio-graphical follows that there was no particle migration and no change in the provided height and shape of the alveolar ridges and also the adaptation of patients to their new prosthetic restorations were quite good.
Özet
Alveoler kret augmentasyonunda kemik grefti veya hidroksil apatit partiküllerinin taşınması, yerleştirilmesi, istenen form ve yüksekliğin korunması ve partikül migrasyonunun önlenmesi önemli bir problem teşkil etmektedir. Bu çalışmada partiküllerin migrasyonunu önlemek amacıyla fibrin yapıştırıcı kullanılarak, mandibuler alveoler kret yetersizliği bulunan 5 hastada posterior kret augmentasyonu işlemi gerçekleştirildi. Postoperatif 6 ay boyunca sürdürülen klinik ve radyografik tetkiklerde partikül migrasyonu bulunmadığı, kretlere verilen kontur ve yüksekliğin aynen korunduğu ve hastaların yeni protezlerine adaptasyonlarının son derece iyi olduğu gözlendi.
