Effect of bond strength various buildup procedures on the coronally debilitated endodontically treated teeth

Abstract
Numerous materials and techniques in dentistry are used for making a buildup for the endodontically treated and coronally debilitated teeth. In this study; premolar teeth with single root and canal were used. Teeth were embedded in acrylic to the cemento enamel junction. After the endodontic treatment all teeth were sectioned and to taked out palatal part. The 76 test specimens were divided into five groups, each consisting of 12 teeth and 16 teeth were separeted for control groups. Teeth were restorated to come in canals with a coronal radicular restoration of composite 2 mm, amalgam 2 mm, amalgam 5 mm, corodent 2 mm, corodent 5 mm. Then specimens were stored in distilled water at 37° C for 48 hours prior to testing. The bond strenght values were measured with Tensometer. Mean bond strenght values were, 25, 2500 kg for group I. 13, 5000 kg for group II. 18, 1667 kg for group III. 21,1667 kg for group IV. 22,5000 kg for group V.
Özet
Endodontik tedavi görmüş ve kron harabi-yeti olan dişlerde üst yapı uygulamaları için bir¬çok materyal ve teknik kullanılmaktadır. Bu ça¬lışmada tek kök ve tek kanallı premolar dişlerden yararlanıldı. Dişler mine-sement hu¬dudundan itibaren akrilik bloklar içine gömül¬dü. Tüm dişlere endodontik tedavi yapıldıktan sonra sadece bukkal duvar kalacak şekilde pala-tinal duvarları kaldırıldı. 76 test örneği 12'şer dişi içeren 5 deney grubuna ayrıldı. 16 dişde kontrol olarak kullanıldı. Dişlere 2 mm kompozit, 2 mm amalgam, 5 mm amalgam, 2 mm ve 5 mm kor materyali olarak kullanılan kompozit ile kanala girilerek koronal-radiküler restorasyonlar yapıldı. Daha sonra örnekler, testler uygulanmadan önce distile su içerisinde 48 saat 37 C'de bekletildi. Tutuculuk değerleri tenso-metre ile ölçüldü. Ortalama tutuculuk direnci değerleri grup I için 25,2500 kg, grup II için 13,5000 kg, grup III için 18,1667 kg, grup IV için 21,1667 kg, grup V için 22,5000 kg olarak bulundu.
