Abstract
The clinical symptoms of a chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) appear after 21 days or later. Computerized tomography (CT) is the main imaging method for initial evaluation. The intensity values on CT can provide information regarding the diagnostic features and duration of a hematoma. Although the disorder is common, there are only a few reports of cases with a sedimentation level. We discuss the physiopathology of CSDH development in this article.
Özet
Kronik subdural hematom (KSDH); klinik semptomları 21 gün veya daha geç sürede ortaya çıkan subdural mesafede biriken hematomlardır. Kronik subdural hematomun ilk değerlendirilmesinde, bilgisayarlı tomografi (BT), önemli görüntüleme yöntemidir. BT'deki; hiperdens, izodens, hipodens gibi yoğunluk değerleri hematomun tanısı ve yaşı hakkında bilgi verebilir. KDSH olgularının çok görülmesine rağmen sedimantasyon seviyesi gösteren subdural hematom olgularının oldukça az görülmesi ilgi çekicidir. Bu olgumuzla KSDH'a ait hematomun fizyopatolojik oluşum süreci vurgulanmak istenmiştir.
