Abstract
The majority of plastic surgery operations is constituted of the excision of skin and subcutaneous masses. In general, these lesions are solitary but sometimes they can be precursors of a systemic disease. A 29-year-old female patient came to our outpatient clinic, complaining of several cutaneous masses on her body. After the excisional surgery, pathology result was consistent with xanthoma. The patient was thought to have hypercholestrolemia. Lipid lowering therapy, that decreases the morbidity of the disease, was iniated according to further laboratory works and appropriate consultations
