Abstract

The guidance systems, which are used for finding the route to a certain place, are the graphic elements of great importance in termsof both the transportation and the publicity of the areas where they are situated. Te identity of the premises is directly related to thecharacteristics of the guidance elements, as well as the public spaces and their uses. Te guidance systems, which are designed for thepremises, should have a visual language that introduces the region and they should be designed in a way that allows for regular use. Teaim of this study is to provide a guidance system suitable for the identity of the premises that eases the access to information and whilebeing open to innovation and technology, does not break of with the traditions, all the while carrying out the guidance functionality overthe example of Kızılay, a district considered to be the heart of the capital city of Ankara.

Özet

Bir yere giderken izlenen yolu bulmak için kullanılan yönlendirme sistemleri, ulaşım ve bulundukları yerlerin tanıtımı açısındanbüyük öneme sahip grafik ögelerdir. Yerleşkelerin kimlikleri, yönlendirme ögelerinin özellikleriyle, böylece kamusal alanlar ve onlarınkullanımlarıyla doğrudan ilişkilidirler. Yerleşkeler için tasarlanan yönlendirme sistemleri, bölgeyi tanıtan ve anlatan görsel bir dilesahip olmalı, düzenli bir biçimde kullanılacak şekilde tasarlanmalıdırlar. Bu çalışmanın amacı, başkent Ankara için Ankaranın kalbiolarak nitelendirilen Kızılay Mahallesi örneği üzerinden yön gösterme işlevini gerçekleştirirken, bilgiye ulaşımı kolaylaştıran, yeniliğeve teknolojiye açık, ancak geleneklerden de kopuk olmayan, mekânın kimliğine uygun bir yönlendirme sistemi önerisi sunmaktır.
