Chronic gastric volvulus in childhood

Abstract
Gastric volvulus is a rare entity in infancy and childhood. In this period, mesenteroaxial volvulus is the most common type and associated anatomic defects are the rule. Most of the reported cases have been acute and secondary in type with predisposing factors. In this report, a 4-year-old girl with chronic gastric volvulus was presented and classical features of this condition were discussed.
Özet
Gastrik volvulus, çocukluk yaş grubunda seyrek görülen cerrahi bir patolojidir. Bu dönemde mezenteroaksiyel tip daha sıktır ve beraberinde anatomik bozukluklar görülür. Literatürede günümüze kadar bildirilen olguların çoğu akut veya predispozan faktörlerin rol oynadığı sekonder tipte volvuluslardır. Bu yazıda 4 yaşındaki kronik gastrik volvuluslu bir hasta sunularak hastalığın özellikleri gözden geçirildi.
