Özet

Bu araştırmada psikiyatri servisinde çalışan doktor ve hemşirelerin hasta taburculuğuna ilişkinyaklaşımlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.Araştırmanın örneklemini, Ankara ili belediye sınırlarında yer alan kamu hastanelerinin psikiyatriservislerinde çalışan 45 hemşire ve 118 doktor oluşturmuştur. Araştırma verileri, ilgili literatür taranarak,araştırmacı tarafından ve uzman görüşü alınarak hazırlanan soru formları ile toplanmıştır. Verilerindeğerlendirilmesinde frekans ve yüzdelik değerleri, Fisher’s Exact Test ve Pearson ki-kare testleri kullanılmıştır.Katılımcıların çoğunluğu taburculuk planlaması sürecinde yer aldıklarını belirtmiştir. Doktorların%44.1’i hemşirelerin %33.3’ü hasta servise yattığı ilk andan itibaren sürece başlanması gerektiğinibelirtmişlerdir. Doktor ve hemşirelerin çok az bir kısmı, tüm sağlık ekibinin taburculuk planlaması sürecinde yeralması gerektiğini ifade etmiştir. Taburculuk planlaması sürecinin yararlarına ilişkin olarak; doktorların vehemşirelerin büyük bir çoğunluğu hasta bakımında kaliteyi arttıracağını ifade etmiştir. Doktorların %6.8’i vehemşirelerin %17.7’si taburculuk planlaması sürecini uygulamanın olumsuz yönü olduğunu ifade etmiştir.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the approaches by doctors and nurses in psychiatry departmenttoward patient discharge.45 nurses and 118 doctors who work in psychiatry departments of public hospitals within Ankaraprovincial borders participated in this study. Survey data were collected through a questionary form by theinvestigator after reviewing related literature and also were presented for consideration by the expertconsultation. Frequency and percentage values, Fisher’s Exact Test and Pearson’s Chi-Square Test were usedto evaluate the data.Most of the attendants stated that they participate in discharge planning process. %44.1 of doctors and%33.3 of nurses stated that the process should start as of the day patient is hospitalized. A very minor group indoctors and nurses stated that all the medical team should participate in discharge planning process. As tobenefits gained from discharge planning process, a vast majority of doctors and nurses declared that it wouldimprove the quality of patient care. It was observed that %6.8 of doctors and %17.7 of nurses stated thatperforming a discharge planning process would have negative aspects.
