Examination of Adolescents Lifestyle According to Body Mass Index and Body Image

BEDEN KİTLE İNDEKSLERİ VE BEDEN ALGILARINA GÖRE ADÖLESANLARIN YAŞAM BİÇİMLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the healthy lifestyle behaviors according to their body mass index and body image perception adolescents. Method: The universe of the study, which is planned cross-sectionl consists of students who are studying in state schools in Manisa (N=18922). According to the number of students in high school, proportionate stratified sampling method was used and sample size (n = 930) were calculated. Data were collected by using introduction form and the scale of adolescent lifestyles. Results: The average age of the adolescents participating in the research is 15.18±17. %60.4 of female, %81.4 of live in the province, %72.4 avarege in came. The point of Adolescent Lifestyle Profile Scale of students (122.76±17.16) was generally found to be medium level. Amaç: Araştırmanın amacı adölesanların beden kitle indeksleri ve beden algılarına göre sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışlarının incelenmesidir. Yöntem: Kesitsel tipte planlanmış olan araştırmanın evreni Manisa il merkezinde bulunan devlet liselerinde eğitim gören öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır (N=18922). Liselerde bulunan öğrenci sayılarına göre, orantılı tabakalı örnekleme yöntemi kullanıldı. Örneklem sayısı (n=930) hesaplandı. Veriler, tanıtıcı bilgi formu ve "Adölesan Yaşam Biçimi Ölçeği" kullanılarak toplandı. Bulgular: Adölesanların yaş ortalaması 15.18±17dir. Adölesanların %60.4'ü kız, %81.4'ün en uzun süre yaşadığı yerleşim birimi il merkezi, %72.4' ünün gelir durumunun orta düzeyde olduğu belirlendi. Öğrencilerin Adölesan Yaşam Biçimi Ölçeği genel puanı (122.76±17.16) orta düzeyde olduğu bulundu.
