Determination of Pomological and Morphological Properties of Different Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) Genotypes in Kahramanmaraş Province

Kahramanmaraş’ta Farklı Nar (Punica granatum L.) Genotiplerinin Pomolojik Özellikleri ile Fitokimyasal ve Antioksidant İçeriklerinin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

In order to determine tree yields, frui tweight, fruit width, height, colour characteristics, grain number, grain weight, soluble solids (TSS), total phenol and antioxidant content of three pomegranate genotypes (Genotip 1, Genotip 2, Genotip 3) which were tested in the ecological conditions of Kahramanmaras province (Center), 2015 -2016 was carried out. In this study, the highest fruit weight in Genotip 3 pomegranate genotype was foundto be 386.50 g and the lowest weight was 267.23 g with Genotip 1 pomegranate genotype. When we evaluated the genotypes in terms of colour, the most red grain color was obtained from Genotip 1 pomegranate (34,58) genotype, followed by Genotip 2 and Genotip 3 genotypes. The highest number of grains was detected in Genotip 2 (635) pomegranate genotype, and the lowest value was found in Genotip 1 pomegranate (395). Bu çalışma Kahramanmaraş ili (Merkez) ekolojik koşullarında denemeye alınan üç nar genotipinin (Genotip 1, Genotip 2, Genotip 3) ağaç verimlerinin, meyve ağırlığı, meyve eni, boyu, renk özellikleri, dane sayısı, dane ağırlığı, SÇKM, toplam fenol ve antioksidan içeriğini belirlemek amacı ile 2015-2016 yıllarında yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada en yüksek meyve ağırlığı Genotip 3 nar genotipinde 386.50 g olarak belirlenmiş en düşük ağırlık ise 267.23 g ile Genotip1 nar genotipine ait olmuştur. Genotipleri renk açısından değerlendirdiğimizde en kırmızı dane rengi Genotip 1 nar (34,58) genotipinden elde edilirken, Genotip 2 ve Genotip 3 genotipleri bunu takip etmiştir. En fazla dane sayısı Genotip 2 (635 adet) nar genotipinde saptanmış, bu özellik açısından en düşük değer Genotip 1 nar (395 adet) genotipinde belirlenmiştir. Genotiplerin SÇKM içerikleri % 15.42 ile 15.55 arasında değişirken en yüksek antioksidan içeriği (39.32 TEAC, Mm) Genotip 2 nar genotipinde belirlenmiştir.
