An Evaluation of the Islamic Elements in the Turkistan/Turkmen Sahara Copy of the Book of Dede Korkut in the Context of the Relationship Between Religion and Society

Dede Korkut Kitabı Türkistan/Türkmen Sahra Nüshasında Yer Alan İslami Unsurların Din ve Toplum İlişkisi Bağlamında Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

As human is a social being, they needs a social life. Religion is one of the most important determinants of social life that human needs. Islam reveals an internal structure with the principles of faith and the main principles of morality. The Turks adopted the religion of Islam of their own volition and will, because it suits to with the belief in one God and the moral order they had. In the book of Dede Korkut, it is possible to follow detailed information about the religion of Islam as well as the old Turkish belief system. The Turkistan / Turkmen Sahara Copy has remarkable content in this sense. The aim of the study was to reveal how the Islamic elements contained in the copy look in the context of the relationship between religion and society. In this respect, the Turkistan/Turkmen Sahara copy has been interpreted within the framework of the principles of faith, worship and morality found in the basic structure of religion. At this stage, based on the idea that the book of Dede Korkut is a whole, examples of other narratives were utilized. Investigations based on the Islamic elements contained in the copy revealed the social interpretation of the transition process to Islam.

İnsan, sosyal bir varlık olması sebebiyle toplumsal bir yaşama gereksinim duyar. Din,insanın ihtiyaç duyduğu toplumsal yaşamın en önemli belirleyicilerinden biridir.İslamiyet, inanç esasları ve başlıca ahlak prensipleri ile içtimaı bir yapı ortayakoymaktadır. Türkler, tek Tanrı inancına ve sahip oldukları ahlak düzenine uygundüşmesi nedeniyle kendi istek ve iradeleriyle İslam dinini kabul etmişlerdir. Dede KorkutKitabı’nda, eski Türk inanç sisteminin yanı sıra İslam dinine dair ayrıntılı bilgiler izlemekmümkündür. Türkistan/Türkmen Sahra Nüshası bu anlamda dikkate değer bir içeriğesahiptir. Çalışmada, nüshada yer alan İslami unsurların din ve toplum ilişkisi bağlamındanasıl bir görünüm arz ettiklerinin ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda,Türkistan/Türkmen Sahra Nüshası, dinin temel yapısında bulunan inanç, ibadet ve ahlakesasları çerçevesinde yorumlanmıştır. Bu aşamada, Dede Korkut Kitabı’nın bir bütünolduğu düşüncesinden hareketle diğer boylara ait örneklerden de faydalanılmıştır.Nüshada yer alan İslami unsurlardan hareketle yapılan incelemeler, İslamiyet’e geçişsürecinin toplumsal yorumunu ortaya çıkarmıştır
