Seismic Deformation of the Geoid and the Gravity and Leveling Networks in Turkey

Abstract

The seismic effects on the national networks need to be determined periodically for the design and Keywords long-term maintenance of geodetic networks in Turkey and revision surveys need to be planned Seismic Deformation; according to them. In this study the cumulative effect of the earthquakes on the gravity and levelling Geoid; Gravity NetworkS’ networks of Turkey and the geoid over the last 80 years is analyzed. The analysis on 738 earthquakes Levelling Networks- between 1938 and 2008 with known moment tensor solution show that the gravity changes are between -58 and +69 uGal, the height changes are between -47 and +49 cm. 0n the other hand, the change in the geoid does not exceed mm.

Özet

Bir deprem ülkesi olan ülkemizin ulusal ağlarının tasarımı ve uzun dönemli idamesi için depremlerin ülkemiz ağları üzerindeki etkilerinin periyodik olarak belirlenmesi ve buna bağlı olarak revizyon ölçümlerinin planlanmasına ihtiyaç vardır. Bu çalışmada son 80 yılda meydana gelen depremlerin ulusal gravite ve nivelman ağları ile jeoid üzerindeki kümülatif etkisi araştırılmıştır. 1938-2008 yılları arasında moment tensör çözümü olan 738 adet deprem kullanılarak yapılan hesaplamalar gravite değişimlerinin -58 ile +69 ?Gal mertebesinde, yükseklik değişimlerinin ise -47 cm ile +49 cm aralığında olduğu görülmektedir. Buna karşın jeoidin değişimi ±1 mm düzeyindedir
