Definition of diamond circular saws in stone cutting and mechanism of chipping formation

Abstract
The most frequently used cutting tools in the cutting process of marble industry are diamond circular saws. Machine conditions, design and operating parameters, properties of cut rocks significantly influence cutting performance of the saws. In this study, cutting and design parameters of the diamond circular saws are explained. The relationship of these parameters with the mechanism of chipping formation is established.

Endüstriyel taş sektöründe kesme işlerinde kullanılan ekipmanlar arasında en çok kullanılan kesme aracı elmaslı dairesel testerelerdir. Bu testerelerin makine şartları, tasarım ve çalışma parametreleri, kesilecek kaya özellikleri kesme verimini önemli derecede etkilemektedir. Bu çalışmada, genel olarak elmaslı dairesel testerelerin kesme ve tasarım parametreleri açıklanmıştır. Bu parametrelerin talaş oluşum mekanizması ile ilişkisi belirtilmiştir.
