Vessel anomalies of umbilical cord

Abstract
There are few Studies about umblical cord anomalies in literature. We investigated of 300 placenta and umblical cord samples retrospectively sent to our laboratory between 2000-2002. We observed single umblical artery in two of the samples, supernumerary umblical vessel in one of the samples and false knots in five of the samples. It's reported that congenital anomalies are more frequently observed in fetuses with single umblical artery and with supernumerary umblical vessel. We analyzed and compared eight cases with present literature.
Özet
Literatürde umblikal kord anomalilerini araştıran az sayıda araştırma bulunmaktadır. Retrospektif olarak 2000-2002 yılları arasında laboratuvafımıza gelen 300 plasenta ve umblikal kord örnekleri incelenmiştir. Üçyüz umblikal kord örneğinin ikisinde tek umblikal arter , birinde fazla umblikal damar ve beşinde yalancı düğüm izlenmiştir. Tek umblikal arter ve fazla umblikal damarlı göbek kordonu olan fetuslarda konjenital anomalilerin daha sık izlendiği belirtilmektedir.Burada 8 olgumuzu yayınlar eşliğinde klinik özellikleri ile birlikte gözden geçirdik.
