Abstract

The finding of calf swelling on physical examination can present a diffucult diagnostic problem. The most commom swelling seen in the popliteal fossa are deep vein thrombosis and ruptured Baker's cyst. They have been known that Baker's cysts mimic the symptoms of deep vein thrombosis in lower extremities. Fizik muayene ile baldırda tespit edilen şişlik bulgusu teşhisi güç bir problem olarak ortaya çıkabilir. Baldır şişliğinde en sık akla gelen DVT (derin ven trombozu) ve rüptüre olmuş popliteal kisttir (Baker kisti). Popliteal kistlerin alt ekstremite DVT semptomlarını taklit ettiği bilinir.
