Abstract

Solitary fibrous tumor of the pleura is a rare tumor and frequently arises from visceral pleura with a pedincule. Ultimately, thoracotomy and tumor resection are usually required for diagnosis. Surgical resection of benign solitary fibrous tumor is usually curative, but local recurrence can occur after years. In this study, three cases with histopathological diagnosis of pleural solitary fibrous tumor after surgical resection were discussed reviewing the literature.

Özet

Soliter fibröz tümör plevranın nadir tümörü olup, sıklıkla visseral plevradan köken alır. Kesin tanı için genellikle torakotomi ve kitlenin total eksizyonu gerekmektedir. Cerrahi rezeksiyon genel olarak küratif olmakla birlikte, az da olsa lokal nüks ihtimali vardır. Bu çalışmada kliniğimizde sol hemitoraksta kitle tanısı ile opere edilen ve postoperatif tanısı soliter fibröz tümör gelen üç olgu literatür bilgileri ile gözden geçirilerek tartışıldı.
