A case of tracheal disruption due to a cut injury

Abstract
A 75-year-old woman was admitted to the emergency unit with anterior neck disruption as a result of a suicide attempt. Immediately, the patient was intubated and respiratory control was restored. At emergency operation, cervical tracheal disruption was repaired using separate prolene sutures. Postoperatively, positive pressure ventilation and activities that would cause tension on the suture line were avoided. After an uneventful postoperative care, the patient was discharged on the seventh day.
Özet
Yetmiş beş yaşında kadın hasta, intihar girişimi sonrası boynun ön yüzünde kesi ile acil servise getirildi. Hasta acilen entübe edilerek solunum kontrolü sağlandı ve hemen ameliyata alındı. Ameliyatta servikal trakeal kesi separe prolen dikiş ile tamir edildi. Ameliyat sonrası pozitif basınçlı ventilasyon uygulamasından ve dikiş hattında gerginlik oluşturacak hareketlerden kaçınıldı. Ameliyat sonrası dönemde komplikasyon gelişmeyen hasta yedinci günde taburcu edildi.
