Abstract

In this study, we report two cases who underwent catheter-assisted embolectomy under fluoroscopy due to insufficient conventional embolectomy. One of the patients had ascending aortobifemoral bypass and the other had aortoiliac bypass. In both cases, material incompatibility- related complications developed and additional surgical embolectomy procedures were performed. We believe that with an adequate material support and increased experience, catheter-assisted embolectomy could be an alternative procedure in patients with insufficient conventional embolectomy and in cases who are ineligible for mechanical treatment and thrombolysis, in particular.
