Preventıon of Crıme

Abstract

Almost everybody has thought in some way about why people commit crimes. These questions lead us to criminology. Criminology is an experimental science which deals with criminality as a social phenomenon, as well as the causes of crime, the consequences of crime, and the effects of punished criminal acts on victims and the public. In the view of the high costs of crime on the public, the importance of the deterring or reducing crime is significant. Therefore, it is necessary for government authorities to perform long term and comprehensive studies employing the principles of crime prevention.

Özet

İnsanların neden suç işledikleri sorusu üzerinde hemen herkes bir şekilde düşünmüştür. Bu sorular bizi kriminolojiye götürür. Kriminoloji, sosyal fenomen olarak suçluluğu, suçun nedenlerini, sonuçlarını, cezalandırılan davranışın (suçun) mağdur ve toplumda yarattığı etkileri inceleyen deneysel bir bilimdir. İşte suçun topluma maliyetinin çok yüksek olması gerçeği karşısında, suçun önlenmesi veya en azından azaltılmasının önemi büyüktür. Bu bakımdan, yetkili devlet organları tarafından suç profilaksisi esaslarına göre, uzun vadeli ve kapsamlı çalışmalar yapılması gereklidir.
