Foregrounding of ‘Câr-Mecrûr’ in The Kor’ân in The Verb Sentences and Semantic Interpretations in Terms of Syntax

Abstract

In this article, I will examine that on the basis of al-Jurjânî and alSaqqâki views on the general subject of foregrounding, how the introduction of the foregrounding of the câr-mecrûr in the verb sentence changes the semantic interpretation of the sentence. Also I will evaluate that due to this syntax changing, what kind of rhetoric (balagat) foregrounding gives to the meaning of the sentence. According to this theoretical framework, I will analyze some examples in the Quran, in which câr-mecrûr foregrounded to its verb. In the examples, especially I will emphasize the caring and restriction meanings that are revealed due to the syntax change. However, the subject of foregrounding of câr-mecrûr in the name sentences was excluded.

Özet

Biz, bu makalemizde, el-Cürcânî ve es-Sekkâkî’nin genel olarak takdim konusuyla ilgili görüşlerini esas alarak, fiil cümlesinde câr-mecrûrun âmiline takdiminin cümlenin anlamsal yorumunu nasıl değiştirdiğini ele alacağız. Bu sözdizimi değişikliği nedeniyle takdimin cümleye hangi ek/belâgî anlamlar kattığını inceleyeceğiz. Bu teorik çerçeveye göre, Kurân-ı Kerîm’de câr-mecrûrun fiiline yani müteallakına takdim edildiği bazı örnekleri ele alacağız. Örneklerde sözdizimi değişikliği nedeniyle açığa çıkan ihtimam ve tahsis anlamlarına özellikle vurgu yapacağız. Makalede isim cümlelerinde câr-mecrûrun takdimi konusu ise kapsam dışı bırakılmıştır.
