Abstract

Granulocytic sarcoma is a rare extramedullary tumor of myeloid origin. Acute myeloid leukemia with the translocation of the chromosomes between 8 and 21 is one of the situations in which granulocytic sarco-mas are reported to be more common. We report a case of acute myeloid leukemia (AML)-M2 subtype with t(8,21) who appeared with acute paraplegia and a soft tissue mass in the epidural area between T9-T12 vertebras, while the patient was in complete remission ten months after the initial diagnosis.

Özet

Granulositik sarkom myeloid kökenli ekstramedüller nadir bir tümördür. Akut myeloid lösemide t(8,21) bulunduran olgular ile sıklıkla birliktelik gösterir. Bu olgu sunumunda t(8,21) bulunduran ve ilk tanıdan on ay sonra remisyonda izlenirken T9-T12 epidural aralığındaki yumuşak doku kitlesinin akut paraplejiye neden olduğu bir AML-M2 vakası sunulmuştur.
