INVESTIGATION OF FACULTY OF SCIENCES AND ARTS STUDENT’S RELATIONSHIPS FOR THE ATTITUDES TOWARDS COMPUTER USING THE FATIH PROJECT

FEN-EDEBİYAT FAKÜLTESİ ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN FATİH PROJESİNE İLİŞKİN BİLGİSAYAR KULLANIMINA YÖNELIK TUTUMLARININ İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Pedagogical formation training given to Faculty of Arts and Science students by Higher Education Council provides to be assigned of students in these schools as a teacher to the Ministry of Education. The purpose of this study is to examine the level of interest of the students related to computer use in the Faculty of Arts and Science in education. The sample group of our study has a total of 239 students who consist of Faculty of Arts and Science Philosophy, Turkish Language and Literature, History and the Geography departments of Kilis 7 Aralık University in 2014-2015 Academic Year, Fall Semester. “Computer Attitude Scale” and personal information form has been used as a data collection tool in the research. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews that based on voluntary. Frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA and Tukey HSD tests were used to analyze the obtained data. According to the survey, there was no significant difference between groups according to gender status intended for computer use, in situation of computer ownership, a significant difference in favor has found for computer owner situation. As a result of analysis performed on class level, there is no significant difference in the attitude of an interest in computers sub scale and there is a significant difference in case of concerned against the computer and using computers in education sub scales.

Özet

Yükseköğretim Kurulu tarafından Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi öğrencilerine verilen pedagojik formasyon eğitimi, bu fakültedeki öğrencilerin Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na öğretmen olarak atanabilmelerini sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin, eğitimde bilgisayar kullanımına ilişkin ilgi düzeylerini incelemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2014-2015 eğitim-öğretim yılı güz döneminde, Kilis 7 Aralık Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Felsefe, Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı, Tarih ve Coğrafya bölümlerinde öğrenim gören toplam 239 öğrenci oluşturmuştur.Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Bilgisayar Tutum Ölçeği” ve kişisel bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Veriler gönüllülük esasına göre yüz yüze anket yoluyla toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verileri analiz etmede frekans, yüzde, t-testi, ANOVA ve Tukey HSD testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucuna göre, kullanıcıların bilgisayar kullanımına yönelik tutumlarında cinsiyet grubuna göre anlamlı bir fark bulunmazken, bilgisayara sahiplik durumunda bilgisayar sahibi olanlar lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Sınıf düzeyinde yapılan analiz sonucunda bilgisayara ilgi duyma alt ölçeğinde anlamlı fark bulunmazken, bilgisayara karşı kaygı duyma ve bilgisayarı eğitimde kullanma alt ölçeklerinde anlamlı farklar bulunmuştur.
