Abstract
Biliary fistulas are uncommon. Abnormal communication may develop between different parts of the biliary tract itself, or between it and other parts of the alimentary or other passages. It may occur as a consequence of calculous biliary tract disease, trauma, neoplasm or congenital anomalies. Cholecystoenteric fistula comprises 70-85 % of all biliary fistulas and may be diagnosed from a barium meal or upper gastrointestinal series. Treatment of biliary-enteric fistulas is primarly surgical. We report a rare case of chronic diarrhea due to cholecystocolic fistula which was treated by surgical repair and present a literature review.
