Abstract

Ninety-eight patients with diagnosed IBD (83 ulcerative colitis, 15 Crohn's disease) are included in this study. In cases with UC; 2 cases with episcleritis and 2 cases with uveitis were found. Corneal subepithe-lial opacities were found in 3 cases. The patients with uveitis and episcleritis were revealed in active UC. The patients with Crohn's disease did not reveal any anteri¬or segment findings. Among the findings of posterior segment, all patients with IBD had pigmental epithelial defects in macula, vasculitis, choroidal infiltrations and peripapillary Oedema. The cases with perivascular she-ating and vasculitis had pancolitis. Glaucoma was seen in 4 cases and cataract in 2 cases. Statistically signifi¬cant differences were not found between the localization of the IBD and ocular complications (p>0.05).
