Foreign bodies in gastrointestinal tract: A case report

Abstract
Ingested foreign bodies in gastrointestinal tract can be the source of severe morbidity and occasional mortality. Sharp and pointed objects deserve special attention and they should be removed immediately. In this case report, we describe an endoscopic removal of a knife from the stomach of a schizophrenic patient without any complication for the first time.
Özet
Gastrointestinal sistem yabancı cisimleri önemli morbidite ve mortalitesi olan bir klinik durumdur. Özellikle kesici ve delici yabancı cisimlerin acil tedavisi gerekir. Bu makalede bıçak yutan bir şizofreni hastasının midesinden endoskopik yöntemle bıçağın komplikasyonsuz olarak çıkarılması ilk kez sunuldu ve konuyla ilgili literatür bulguları gözden geçirildi.
