Abstract
In order to study the risk of heterosexual transmission of hepatitis C virüs (hcv), we tested 60stable heterosexual partners of hepatitis C viraemic individuals and 249 nonintravenous drug-using prostitutes using second generarion HCV antibody assay.Controls were voluntary blood donors.theprevalance of antibodies to HCV (anti hcv) was 5 % in sexual partners of index cases,6.8% in prostitutes and 2% in donors.after exclusion of alternative risk factors, the prevalance of anti HCV was 1.6 % in sexual partners of index cases and 4.01 % in the sexually promiscuous group.these data suggest that heterosexual transmission of HCV infection is uncommon, even with frequent sexual intercouse.
Özet
Hepatitis c virüsunun (HCV)heteroseksüel geçişini göstermek için , 60 hepatitis C viremik bireyin stabil heteroseksüel eşleri ve 249 genelev kadını ikinci kuşak HCV antikor testi ile test edildi.kontrol gurubu gönüllü kan vericileriydi.HCV antikoru (anti HCV) indeks hastaların seksüel partnerlerinde %5, genelev kadınlarında %6.8 ve kan vericilerinde %2 idi. alternatif risk faktörleri çıkartıldıktan sonra, anti HCV prevalansı indeks hastaların seksüel partnerlerinde %1.6, genelev kadınlarında %4.01 bulundu.bu sonuçlar sık cinsel ilşkiyle bile HCV enfeksiyonunun heterodeksüel geçişinin yaygın olmadığını göstermektedir.
