Uterus didelphys with ipsilateral renal agenesis and an obstructed hemivagina causing urinary retention: Case report

Abstract

The association of uterus didelphys with unilateral imperforate hemivagina and ipsilateral renal agenesis is rare. A case of uterus didelphys with obstructed hemivagina and ipsilateral renal agenesis with urinary retention is presented. The case was evaluated with labarotory findings, IVP (intravenous pyelography) and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). IVP and MRI detected right renal and collecting system agenesis and uterus didelphys with obstructed hemivagina. Resection of the vaginal septum yielded a favorable outcome in the treatment of urinary retention. Key words: Uterus didelphys,renal agenesis,obstructed hemivagina. Özet

Uterus did.elfi.sle beraber tek taraflı imperfore hemivajina ve renal agenezinin bulunma olasılığı oldukça düşüktür. Yazımızda, uterus didelfis, tek taraflı renal agenezi ve obstrukte hemivajina ile birlikte idrar retansiyonu olan bir vaka sunulmaktadır. Vaka, labaratuvar bulguları,IVP,(intravenöz pyelografi) ve MRI(manyetik resonansla görüntüleme) ile değerlendirilmiştir. IVP ve MRI ile sağ böbrek ve üreter agenezisi, obstrukte hemivajina ve uterus didelfisi görüntülenmiştir. Vajinal septum rezeksiyonu, idrar retansiyonunun giderilmesinde, olumlu bir şekilde sonuç vermiştir.
