Lineage Stamps In Qashqai Turks

Abstract

The most persistent elements of a cult are the ceremonies of birth, marriage and death, as well as the traditions and customs applied during these ceremonies. These traditions also include the tombstones. Lifestyles of Turkish tribes including their belief systems and their world view have been transmitted to the present day through rock-carved depictions and lineage stamps in the tombstones reflecting the geographical features of the region they were located. Lineage stamps among Turkish tribes had a great importance in social and economic life. Qashqai Turks who lived in the central region of Iran and constantly got exposed to foreign cultures tried to protect their cultural values throughout history. Today, they still use their lineage stamps and preserve their language, literature, music, and culture. The stamps and signs we identified among the Qashqai Turks show their families, bonds and and lineages. A deeper archaeological research and the examination of this Turkish tribe still living a nomadic life sustaining the markings on the tombstones are expected to contribute to Iranian historiography.

Bir Kültürün en kalıcı unsurlarını doğum, evlilik ve ölüm törenleri ve bu törenlersırasında uygulanan gelenekler ve görenekler oluşturur. Geçiş dönemlerini simgeleyen unsurları,mezar taşları tamamlar. Türk boylarının yaşam biçimleri, inanç sistemleri, dünyayı algılamaşekillerine dair önemli bilgileri, kaya üstü tasvirler ve damgalar, yer aldıkları bölgenin coğrafiözelliklerini de yansıtarak günümüze kadar aktarmaktadırlar. Türklerde soy damgaları,sosyal ve ekonomik hayatta büyük önem taşımaktadır.İran’ın merkez bölgesinde yaşayan ve sürekli yabancı etkenlere maruz kalan KaşkayTürkleri, tarih boyunca gelenek, görenek, kültür ve dillerini korumakla varlıklarınıkorumaya çalışmışlardır. Kaşkay Türkleri, dil, edebiyat, müzik v.b. kültür ögelerini devamettirdikleri gibi, soy damgalarını da hala kullanmaktadırlar. Kaşkay Türkleri arasında tespitettiğimiz damgalar ve işaretler, tayfa, tire ve soy bağlarını belirlemektedir. Arkeolojik araştırmaların derinleşmesi ve hala konargöçer hayatı devam ettiren bu Türktopluluğunun damgaları ve taş üzerindeki işaretlerinin incelenmesi, İran tarihçiliğine yeni biryön verecektir
