EFFECT OF p2-ADRENOCEPTOR AGONISTS ON SALIVARY FLOW RATE, TOTAL PROTEIN AND AMYLASE IN BRONCHIAL ASTHMA

Abstract

Thirty asthmatic patients treated with fk-adrenore-ceptor agonists were matched with healthy controls of the same age sex. Salivary flow rale and concentrations of total protein and amylase in parotid saliva were significantly lower for the asthmatic patients. Thus, we conclude that fa-agonist treatment impairs the saliva secretion rate and composition.

Özet

fİ2-adrcncrjik reseptör agonistleri ile tedavi edilen 30 bronşiyal aslraalı benzer yaş ve sekste sağlıklı kontroller ile karşılaştırıldı. Tükürük akış hızı, lotal protein ve amilaz konsantrasyonları astmalılarda anlamlı bir şekilde düşük bulundu. Böylece pVagonistlerle tedavinin bronşiyal astmalılarda tükürük akış hızı ve bileşimini değiştirdiğine karar verildi.
