A CHRONOLOGICAL REVIEW OF THE VERSES OF AL-AMR BI’L-MA’RŪF WA AL-NAHY ’ANI-AL-MUNKAR (IN TERMS OF THE TIME AND REASONS OF REVELATION)

EL-EMRU Bİ’L-MA’RÛF VE’N-NEHYÜ ANİ’L-MÜNKER ÂYETLERİNİN KRONOLOJİK (NÜZÛL ZAMANI VE NÜZÛL SEBEPLERİ YÖNÜNDEN) İNCELEMESİ

Abstract

In this article, it is aimed to determine the time and reasons of revelation within the scope of the chronology of the verses of al-amr bil-ma’rûf wa-al-nahy ’ani-al-munkar. The verses correspond to a very wide area in the world of Islamic thought. Although it is thought that the studies dealing with the verses of al-amr bil-ma’rûf wa-al-nahy ’ani-al-munkar are the same in terms of quantity and diversity, in the early sources and current studies, the verses have not been mentioned in terms of being a subject of tafsir. This principle has been considered and discussed in the discipline of kalām from past to present. The main purpose of tafsir studies is to reveal how the verses were understood by their first interlocutors during the revelation period. In the article, in order to contribute to reaching their authentic meaning, all information related to the context will be brought together and a chronology will be determined for the verses in question. According to this chronological order, it is seen that verses were revealed as 17th of surah Luqman, 157th of surah al-A'raf, 41th of surah al-Hajj, 104th, 110th, 114th of surah Al-i Imran, 67th, 71th, 112th of surah at-Tawbah.

Bu makalede el-emru bi’l-ma’rûf ve’n-nehyü ani’l-münker âyetlerinin kronolojisi kapsamında nüzûl zamanı ve sebeplerinin belirlenmesi hedeflenmiştir. İslâm düşünce dünyasında çok geniş bir alana karşılık gelen el-emru bi’l-ma’rûf ve’n-nehyü ani’l-münker âyetlerini Kur’ân ilimleri açısından ele alan çalışmaların nicelik ve çeşitlilik açısından da aynı genişlikte olduğu düşünülse de özellikle erken dönem kaynaklarda ve güncel çalışmalarda söz konusu âyetlere tefsirin bir konusu olması açısından fazlaca değinilmemiştir. Bu prensip geçmişten günümüze ağırlıklı olarak kelâm disiplini içerisinde mütalaa edilmiş ve tartışılmıştır. Tefsir çalışmalarının aslî hedefi âyetlerin nüzûl dönemlerinde ilk muhatapları tarafından nasıl anlaşıldığını ortaya koymaktır. Makalede aslî anlamlarına ulaşmada bir katkı olması açısından bağlama dair tüm veriler bir araya getirilerek söz konusu âyetlere bir kronoloji belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Buna göre; el-emru bi’l-ma’rûf ve’n-nehyü ani’l-münker âyetleri kronolojik olarak Lokmân 31/17; el-A'râf 7/157; el-Hac 22/41; Âl-i İmrân 3/104, 110, 114; et-Tevbe 9/67, 71, 112. âyetler sıralaması ile nâzil olduğu anlaşılmaktadır.
