Abstract
Volunteering is examined in terms of the young in the study. The aim of the study is to reveal the state and level of participation of the young in volunteering activities both in Turkey and the world on the basis of the literature. The method of the study is the literature review. The discussion is made through the question related to how we can provide the young to act voluntary behaviors as a life policy. The theoretical frame of the study is consisted of existentialism in terms of philosophy and subject-structure relationality in terms of sociology. As a result, the participation level of the young in volunteering activities is low in Turkey and in order to increase this level, it is required that the organizations such as family, school, media, etc should place importance to practices prioritizing humanistic behaviors, the adults should be role models and the government should establish the relevant laws and regulations
Özet
Bu makalede gönüllülük konusu gençler üzerinden irdelenmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı gerek dünyada gerekse Türkiye’de gençlerin gönüllülük faaliyetlerine katılım durumlarının nasıl olduğunu literatür üzerinden ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmanın yöntemi literatür incelemesine yöneliktir. Gençlerin bir yaşam politikası olarak gönüllü davranışlara yönelmesini nasıl sağlayabiliriz, sorusu üzerinden tartışma yürütülmüştür. Çalışmanın teorik çerçevesini felsefi açıdan varoluşçuluk, sosyolojik açıdan ise özneyapı ilişkiselliği oluşturmaktadır. Sonuç olarak Türkiye’de gençlerin gönüllülük faaliyetlere katılımını yükseltmek için aile, okul, medya gibi kurumların insani davranışları ve ekosistemi önceleyen uygulamalara önem vermesi yetişkinlerin rol model oluşturması ve devletin bu konuda kanun ve mevzuatı oluşturması gerekmektedir
