TRADITION of TAPANİ (BAND) in MACEDONIA IMIGRANTS in IZMIR

Abstract
Migration from Anatolia to Balkan, Balkan to Anatolia, cultural integration providedthe dynamism of cultures. Immagrants had always managed to stay in-one,however they had some difficulties while they were settling to Turkey. In this article,that is limited to Izmir in Turkey, generally we are examining immigrants fromDelçova and Titoveles in Macedonia. We take Çiğli, Nergiz, Demirköprü, Maltepe,Çamdibi, Yeşilova, Gültepe, Mersinpınar and Levent from Izmir. Immigrant in thisdistricts all together, they keep the culture alive and bring it to present. Livingcultures can be seen easily from ritual like birth, death, and weddings. Tapani (Band),which is the part of the immigrants culture, is irreplaceable. Musicians came fromMacedonia and musicans grew up in Izmir keep the Tapani alive in such a way thatto address to large crowd of people.
