Structural studies of laser induced doped germanium using X-ray diffraction

Aspects of the structure of Ge dipped into various dopant solutions are elucidated by x-ray diffraction into three distinct groups, at low energy density (< 9.51 J/cm2) a non-crystalline phase (amorphous). With progressiv increase in the energy density the non-crystalline convert to a crystalline phase having different reflection planes for the different doping solutions. For higher energy densities there is the reappearance of the diffraction peak of the germanium but with small shifts in the ($2\theta$) maxima.
