Abstract
Although the concept of middle-income trap is new; it has found great echo in economic literathure. It has become an important criterion at the point of evaluation of the development process of the countries. This studies' purpose is initially describing the middle income trap and examine the Turkey's condition. After analysing the Turkey's condition with the datas, solution proposals is provided

Orta gelir tuzağı kavramı literatüre yeni girmiş bir kavram olmakla beraber çok büyük yankı bulmuştur. Ülkelerin gelişim süreçlerinin değerlendirilmesi noktasında önemli bir kriter haline gelmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı öncelikle gelir tuzağının tanımlanarak orta gelir tuzağı özelinde Türkiye'nin durumunun incelenmesidir. Veriler ışığında durum analizi yapılarak çözüme yönelik politika önerileri sunulmuştur.
