An unusual presentation of metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix

Abstract

We present a 48-year old patient with carcinoma of the cervix stage Ill-B, who was initially treated with radical radiotherapy. The patient developed an isolated soft tissue metastasis in her left thigh musculature. The surgically inoperable lesion was treated with palliative radiotherapy. A search of the literature revealed no reports of such soft tissue metastasis in the thigh musculature from carcinoma of the cervix.
