Abstract

Lite recurrence pattern is one-of the characteristics of nasopharyngea! carcinoma which differs from other head and neck carcinomas. Late recurrences occur in 5-14% of these patients 5 years or more after treatment. In the literature the longest imarval before local recurrence after treatment is 24 years. Here, we report a case of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, with an indolent course, which recurred 21 year after initial diagnosis. [Turk J Cancer 1995;25(3):132-4]
