Two-stage left tracheal sleeve pneumonectomy with partial cardiopulmonary bypass in bronchial carcinoid tumor

Abstract
Carcinoid tumors are considered part of the spectrum of neuroendocrine tumors which include typical carcinoid, atypical carcinoid, large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma, and small cell carcinoma. They are rare and constitute less than 2% of all pulmonary tumors. Surgery is the gold standard in the treatment of carcinoid tumors. However, the policy for surgical resection of carcinoid tumor is still controversial. In this report, we present a case of bronchial carcinoid tumor on which we performed a left tracheal sleeve pneumonectomy with a two-stage operative approach.
Özet
Karsinoid tümörler, nöroendokrin tümörler grubunda değerlendirilirler. Nadir görülürler ve tüm pulmoner tümörlerin %2’sinden azını oluştururlar. Tedavide altın standart cerrahidir. Ancak, karsinoid tümörlerde cerrahi yaklaşım metodu konusunda farklı seçenekler vardır. Bu sunumda bizler, iki aşamalı bir operasyonla sol trakeal sleeve pnömonektomi yaptığımız bir bronşial karsinoid tümör olgusunu sunmaya çalıştık
