A case of tracheal bronchus associated with bronchiectasis

Abstract

Tracheal bronchus is a rare anomaly which was generally diagnosed incidentally. We presented a case of segmental bronchiectasis in the right upper lobe in a patient with tracheal bronchus. He admitted to our clinic with the complaints of cough, sputum and recurrent infection. Bronchiectasis was detected in chest computed tomography. At bronchoscopy, a right tracheal bronchus with purulent secretion was present. The apical and anterior segments of the right lung were resected. At 1 year follow up, the patient was fully recovered.

Özet

Trakeal bronş genellikle tesadüfen teşhis edilen nadir bir anomalidir. Bu yazıda sağ akciğer üst lobunda segmetal bronşektazi ve trakeal bronşu olan bir olgu sunduk. Hasta kliniğimize öksürük, balgam ve tekrarlayan infeksiyon şikayetleri ile geldi. Toraks bilgisayarlı tomografisinde bronşektazi saptandı. Bronkoskopide pürülan sekresyonlu sağ trakeal bronş tespit edildi. Üst lob apikal ve anterior segmentler rezeke edildi. Bir yıllık takipte hastanın tamamen iyileşmiş olduğu görüldü.
