Abstract
The life, works and political struggles of Rudolf Virchow (1821-1902), who was one of the former physicians that had dealed with diseases and health problems in a dialectical way and had a approach of social medicine, are discussed in this study.

Bu çalışmada, tıp tarihinde hastalıkları ve sağlık sorunlarını diyalektik ilişkiler içinde ve toplumcu tıp bakış açısıyla ele alan ilk hekimlerden biri olan Rudolf Virchowun (1821-1902) hayatı, çalışmaları ve politik mücadelesi ele alınmaktadır.
