The place of taxes in factors that affect the political preferences of the voters: The case of Trabzon

Abstract

In the past up to the present there are many factors that affect voters political preferences were observed. In recent years, the economic situation appears to be the primary factor. In this study, various factors such as the economic status, public spending, terrorism, family, ideology and taxes were examined in terms of the impact on voters political preferences. 384 participants were asked to prioritize among the 11 factors. As a result of study, it was determined that the economic situation has the greatest effect on voters political preferences. The factor of the taxes was founded to be remain behind of public spending, ideology, religious values, family, interests, advanced democracy and terror in the ranking.

Özet

Geçmişten günümüze kadar seçmenlerin siyasi tercihlerini etkileyen pek çok faktörün olduğu görülmüştür. Son yıllarda öncelikli faktör olarak ekonomik durum karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, ekonomik durum, kamu harcamaları, terör, aile, ideoloji ve vergi gibi çeşitli faktörlerin seçmenlerin siyasi tercihleri üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir. 384 katılımcıdan 11 faktör arasında öncelik sıralaması yapması istenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, ekonomik durum faktörünün seçmenlerin siyasi tercihleri üzerinde en büyük etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Vergi faktörü ise sıralamada kamu harcamaları, ideoloji, dini değerler, aile, menfaat, ileri demokrasi ve terör faktörlerinin gerisinde kalmıştır.
