Abstract
Meckel‘s diverticulum is the most common congenital gastrointestinal anomaly and may result in a number of complications including bleeding, obstruction and inflammation. Axial torsion of Meckel’s diverticulum is very rare and has been reported only 8 times in children and 16 times in adults in the past 35 years. We report a case of axial torsion and gangrene of Meckel’s diverticulum in a 8 years old boy.

Meckel divertikülünün aksiyel torsiyonu oldukça nadirdir ve son 35 yılda çocuklarda sadece 8, yetişkinlerde de 16 vaka bildirilmiştir. Biz 8 yaşında erkek çocukta Meckel divertikülü torsiyonu ve gangreni olgusunu sunuyoruz.
