Although there are many short notes concerning the history of Sabirs in numerous studies, they are usually about their neighbouring peoples, namely the Huns, the Khazars, the Byzantines, etc. This article is a research essay about the short history of the Sabirs. The study is based on classical written sources of the first millennium A.D.
Özet
Çok sayılı çalışmada Sabirlerin (Savirlerin) tarihine ilişkin kısa bilgilere rastlanılmasına rağmen, bu çalışmalar genelde komşu kavimler, Hunlar, Hazarlar, Bulgarlar vb. ilgilidir. Bu yazıda Sabirlerin kısa tarihine ilişkin araştırma denemesi yapılmıştır. Çalışmada M.S. I. binyılına ait klasik yazılı kaynaklardan yararlanılmıştır.
