Abstract

Loft concept is indicated as Loft, attic" or "on the top floor, so the floor immediately below the roof. Loft mekânlar ilk olarak ressam ve heykeltıraş gibi sanatçılar tarafından tercih edilmiş ve stüdyo konut olarak kullanılmış tır. Bu sayede hem çalışma hem de yaş ama alanı ihtiyaçlarını karş ılamışlardır. Sanatçıların Loft mekânları tercih etmesindeki en önemli sebep evsizlik problemine çözüm olarak hem ucuz hem de farklı kullanımlara olanak sağ lamasıdır. Isıtma ya da su tesisatı gibi donanımların açıkta olması ya da duvarların çoğunlukla çıplak beton ya da taş tan olması bir tarz olmasından kaynaklı değ il, ucuza barınma gereksiniminin oluş turduğ u geçici bir durumdur.
