Abstract
The historicity of the "manifesto" phenomenon, the widespread use of print media, the emergence of the concept of authorship, can be read simultaneously in relation to the semantic transformations of the words "original" and "copy". Today, as the architectural manifesto transforms with the diversification of new media tools, the concepts of "originality" and "origin" have also gone into a simultaneous metamorphosis in the context of new authorship phenomena. As an extension of these changes, it is no more possible to regard a production as "original" or "copy". Instead of these words a new term coined in the language "original-copy" is a neologism, or a "neographism" as Derrida would call it. The "neologisms" which can be coined into the language by architectural manifestos, are compressed lexical units loaded with meanings representing an idea. In this article, it is aimed to deconstruct the word "original-copy" through deconstructive architectural manifestos that stand against the tradition of architecture. Within the scope of the study, it has been investigated how the meaning of originality is constructed in manifestos, which are defined as discourses that directly undertake the task of attributing an originality, and it is focused on how deconstructive manifestos express their opposition to this act of construction in their discourse. In this sense, the terms and neologisms they use are put into focus. In the construction or deconstruction of transcendental meanings such as “originality” in the context of architecture, the meaningful effects of neologisms and media are analyzed. From this point of view, how an undecided neographism like "original copy" incorporates itself into understanding in manifesto discourses intertwined with today's media tools is discussed through the example of the "OSArc- OpenSource Architecture" manifesto
