Abstract

The clinical picture of argyria can occur with the chronic administration of topical or systemic silver containing products. Silver sulfadiazine is the treatment of choice in burns due to antibacterial and antifungal effects. Here, we would like to draw attention to a case who suddenly developed gray to black pigmentation in his chin after sun exposure to the area where he was directly applying mixture of silver sulfadiazine and lidocaine

Argyria, topikal veya sistemik gümüş içeren ürünlerin kronik uygulanması ile ortaya çıkabilir. Gümüş sulfadiazine antibakteriyel ve antifungal etkileri nedeniyle yanıklarda kullanılan bir tedavi seçeneğidir. Burada, çene bölgesine, gümüş sulfadiazine ve lidokain karışımı uygulama sonrası, güneşe maruziyet ile gri-siyah pigmentasyon gelişen bir olguya dikkat çekmek istiyoruz
